Here is my mom with the girls...getting ready to go out for the day!

My beautiful, blessed girls, playing on the beach!
We loved the Outer Banks! The weather wasn't so great, but it was a beautiful place. Lots of great lighthouses, beaches, and solitude!!! I'm not sure life on earth gets too much better than that! Tennessee was also beautiful as usual...and it rained there too. Actually, it rained more than anything for the entire two weeks we were away. And we can't BUY rain here in Texas!
So September also brought a couple more new additions to our already busy schedule! Rayven started in soccer, which she's still unsure about. She did score a goal at her second game, and she just beamed from ear to ear. I hope that little victory will push her to stick with it! She's really good, when she gets in there and gets the ball. She's taller than EVERYONE on her team, but she is still afraid of the boys. :) Hope that lasts!
Rayven also started going to preschool at the Mother's Day Out at our church. She is going two days a week, which is good for her. She is SUCH a big girl! She loves school, and she loves getting to tell me what to pack for her lunches and what she wants to wear. It is such a very fun age! She said she LOVES her teacher, which makes me feel great! I'm not sure how I'm going to deal with Kindergarten next year, so hopefully this will help us both get ready.
The other thing we started was AWANA at our church. Rayven is in Cubbies, and I am a helper. I'm amazed at how quickly she can memorize scripture! She adores her "vest" and I can't wait for her to earn patches on it. She is such a good girl!
But, then there is sweet Rylee. We can't forget about sweet little Rylee! She is really loving those days that her sister is at MDO and she gets mommy all to herself! She is the sweetest baby I've ever seen (even though I may say that about Rayven too, lol). Every morning she wakes up with a smile on her face...she waves to her stuffed animals in her room and says "Hi.." in the sweetest little voice! Everyone asks me when I'm going to put her in MDO with Rayven so I can get some stuff done, but I'M NOT! I'm keeping her FOREVER! lol. I will really die when she has to go to Kindergarten....sniffle, sniffle.
She isn't walking quite yet. I know she will get it in her own time, but she's 14 months now...come one Rylee, WALK! I always said I wanted her to stay little, so maybe she's giving me my wish. She cruises around everything, hangs on my legs all the time, but she just won't let go and take that first step. I hope she is this cautious when she's 16! :)
September also brought my BIG birthday. YES, I said it. I'm 30, and I don't like it. Not one little bit. But, the alternative...well, that isn't great either! Gonzalo didn't make fun of me or have a black party, thankfully. I would have killed him. Instead, he took me for a very sweet dinner down on the river walk, and my friend sent over a sitter for us! (Thank you Leslie!) It really is so good to have made such good friends here in Texas. I love all my friends from TN too, but life here would be so lonely without friends, new and old.
Well, that is all for now (as if that isn't enough!). I'm going to try to be a more faithful blogger....if life will just slow down a LITTLE bit... Much love and blessings to all of you!
